Mental health is a serious issue in modern societies. The mental health of children is even more so. According to the data from the C.D.C.,\u00a0one in six children<\/strong>\u00a0between the ages of two and eight has a mental or behavioral disorder. Children are the most precious thing in the world. Children with serious mental illness and severe emotional disturbance need full-time care and treatment. Even the family of such a child needs help to cope with the situation. This is a day to help them by encouraging them into therapy. Conditions like A.D.H.D. as well as anxiety and behavioral disorders can be diagnosed and treated to help the child have a better life.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

As we focus on the emotional wellbeing of children and youth during Children\u2019s Mental Health Awareness Week (CMHAW), we see this as an opportunity to change hearts, minds, and attitudes regarding mental health.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

This year, the Philadelphia System of Care is pleased to announce two events for Children\u2019s Mental Health Awareness \u2014 on May 12 at the Feltonville Recreation Center<\/strong> from 3 to 6 p.m. and on May 20 at Cecil B. Moore Recreation Center<\/strong> from 1 to 4 p.m. Centered around our theme, \u201cWhat Nourishes Me, Nourishes You,\u201d we will be serving the children and families in our local communities with resources, fun activities around supporting mental health for all ages, healthy food and fitness options, free screenings, and more. We would love to have you join us to celebrate Children\u2019s Mental Health Awareness at either one of our events.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
